outreach & missions
This is a group of dedicated church members who care for those of our community who are struggling with illness, have been hospitalized for any reason, are recovering after surgery or need to be encouraged. When a need is made known, team members are assigned to care for the individual offering notes, prayers, phone calls, visitation and support.
Most of us have too much food in our cupboards; some of us don’t have enough. The Wayne Interfaith Network (supported by the local Rabbis and Pastors in town) routinely requests donations to the local pantry. Through this ministry we strive to make a difference in someone’s life by offering a box of cereal or a can of tuna. Food is deposited each month in our lobby and the collection is then distributed to the local pantry.
This group prays regularly for the needs of the church and the concerns that are brought before the congregation. Using prayer cards at the church or the Prayer Requests link on this website, people can communicate their joys and concerns to the prayer team for their attention.
welfare christmas program (gifts and food)
There is great need in our town. Each December we partner with the Wayne Welfare Department and offer to supply gifts and food to anonymous recipients in our community who struggle to buy a gift for their son or daughter during the gift giving season.
