it's all about relationships

No matter your stage or season of life, authentic friendships are here for you to experience.  Below are the groups we offer.

Our advice, try a group, get to know one other person in our community and before you know it you will feel right at home.

a place for kids to grow

Nursery

Our nursery is staffed by adults who play with the children for the entire church service. We adhere to a SAFE CHURCH policy that requires two adults to be in the room at all times. Every child is registered with our nursery staff and every parent is given a child- specific beeper in case you need to be contacted during the service. (the beeper will vibrate if you are needed.) Our goal in providing this service is to make your child’s first experience in church relaxing and fun while at the same time offering you the opportunity to freely worship on Sunday morning.

where students "dig into" the bible

Students

If you are looking for a trustworthy, nurturing program where your children will learn about Jesus, the Bible, how to apply what they learn AND HAVE FUN at the same time you’ve come to the right place.    The Sunday program runs September through mid June during the 10am worship experience. Our program is broken into the following age groups:

PK3-1st Grade

Preschoolers spend their time learning about God’s love through Bible lessons and story craft projects.

2nd - 5th Grades

We use an interactive and engaging  curriculum that gets young people digging into the Bible, learning the stories and growing in their faith.

6th-12th grades

While some students choose to hang out with their parents during the worship experience, others begin to learn about serving in the church.  Students in Middle and High School are given the opportunity to volunteer in a variety of positions, gain leadership experience and be mentored by ministry leaders.

Growing in faith, growing with friends

Youth Group

Every Sunday night, 6:30 to 8pm

Growing up today is not easy. Students are faced with difficult decisions and stressful situations on a daily basis. That is why we offer a group for Middle School and High School Students. This group of young people meets weekly with Pastor Doug (who is really a youth pastor trapped in a pastor's body). Our goal is to create an environment where students feel safe to hang out, have fun and learn about God. Special Events are also scheduled throughout the year.

Food, Fellowship and Fun

Adults

One of the greatest strengths of this church is it’s people! We love to get together as friends and regularly do so. We offer regular events where we try new experiences and get to know one another better. Whether it is through our community picnics, trips to local events, serving together at a food bank, or other social events, you will find many opportunities to meet new people and make friends.

The best way to grow in faith is by exploring the questions we have about God and sharing our stories with others.  We do this through growth groups of 10-15 people who gather at the church or in homes to connect for a season to study the Bible, sermon topics and how to apply these truths to our lives. In these groups we find support and encouragement while we pray for and learn from one another.

caring, sharing and living together

seniors

Our Seniors group plans wonderful activities and is open to all! If you are interested in participating you can always, stop by one of the meetings. All meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of each month beginning at 12:30pm at the church Hall unless otherwise noted.

Grow together!

We know that getting to know new people can be a super scary thing. At Wayne Presbyterian, you can expect friendly and authentic people, engaging music and worship, and compelling preaching from the Bible.

You will be encouraged and maybe even challenged.
